The Des Moines music scene ain’t bad.

So last night I dropped by People’s and dispensed promo codes like there was no tomorrow. But there is a tomorrow, and that’s today, and wow I am hung over. Heard some damn good music at the 80/35 “Play-In” – Des Moines has quite the music scene here. Lots of talented acts. My old pals The Lips would be proud.

I’m good at getting kicked out of malls.

What’s up freaks. The Great Des Moines Mall Tour 2008 continued on Tuesday, this time it was Valley West Mall in WDM. (I’m getting’ good with my Des Moines acronyms, yeah.) I stopped for some photo ops with Barney the Dinosaur, handed out tons of promo codes, then dropped by Victoria’s Secret for a new bra. Wait, what?

Once again, mall security didn’t like me, so I quickly left the scene. Later I hit up Court Avenue downtown and Legend’s, where a couple of weirdos actually recognized me. At some point I ended up lurking in the alley behind The Vaudeville Mews and I got threatened with violence. And I quote: “Get the hell out of our private area or I’ll kick your ass!”

The Bunny is BANNED from Jordan Creek mall

On Saturday morning I spent some time at the Des Moines farmer’s market, where I spilled some red drink on my beautiful white fur. Was I drinking red wine before noon again? Maybe, who knows?

After that I headed out to do some shopping at Jordan Creek Mall. Let me tell you, lots of Cougars out there in the subburbs. It was like CAGED HEAT. Oh yeah, and I got escorted out by the wannabe-cop security guards because I was taking away from their spotlight with the ladies.

No worries, though, because I’m going back to the mall whether they like it or not. Check out my schedule to see where I’ll be in the upcoming days.

Bunny pwnage at the TweetUp!

Last night I totally crashed a Des Moines TweetUp, which is basically a bunch of nerds that get together to talk about the Interwebs. Although, I must admit, the ladies were much foxier than I anticipated. I copped a few feels and handed out my cards.

Hello, Des Moines. The bunny has arrived.

I just flew into town and, boy, are my arms tired! LOL! Hey, I’ll be here all week. (Actually, a couple of weeks.)

But seriously, I’m in Des Moines for a reason. Short version: I used to tour with the Flaming Lips but they downsized and replaced me with some creepy free labor Teletubbies. I’m now lurking in Des Moines, hoping to get back “in” with the Lips when they return in July for 80/35. Here’s more about my story and why I’m here.
